Purpose of Role:

 

The Global Candidate Attraction Leader will support Recruitment’s mission to connect the British Council with great talent, by leveraging the organisation’s brand to attract talent that aligns with our values, and by delivering an equitable and inclusive candidate and employee experience. The role will develop and implement effective and creative talent sourcing strategies for the British Council, with the goals of attracting appropriate talent, improving candidate experience, and the diversity of our externally recruited talent.

This is a great opportunity to improve candidate attraction through new technology implementation and creation of attraction strategies to supply talent in over 100 countries. You will operate as part of a global recruitment team, and interact with HR, Operations, Marketing, Brand and Digital teams globally.

 

Main Accountabilities:

• Develop and implement a talent attraction, engagement & discovery strategy, including a digital attraction strategy together with British Council Digital, Brand & Comms teams.

• Support the reconfiguration & continuous improvement of SuccessFactors MyHR RMK module, British Council careers page & intranet, and implementation of talent intelligence platform.

• Contribute to the development of EVP (collaborating with HR & Brand), deploy into all attraction channels, including talent/career portal, and ensure delivery throughout the candidate engagement cycle.

• Deliver framework to ensure attraction & sourcing channels deliver a diverse talent pool and improve the attraction of under-represented groups. 

• Develop a talent pipelining strategy for the British Council, based on critical business priorities and delivering measurable diversity benefits

• Build direct sourcing capability.

• Own and manage centralized contracts relating to talent sourcing (e.g. LinkedIn, Recruitment Marketing), ensuring best value for British Council and compliance with Procurement policy.

• Establish KPI’s for Talent Sourcing activities, embed in technology and operating model & deliver against them

• Contribute to the development of resourcing strategy, sharing expertise and learning and ensuring an integrated approach to all resourcing activities across the organisation.  Keep abreast of attraction trends and market insight.

 

Role specific knowledge and experience

Minimum/essential

• Experience in developing and delivering talent attraction campaigns and strategies, including digital communications and platforms

• Experience in developing and embedding EVP, employment branding & talent attraction tools & strategies.

• Knowledge of and experience in implementing recruitment/attraction technology and CRM based tools.

• Ability to identify organisation priorities/workforce plans and translate into Talent attraction strategies, plans and campaigns

• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong client management & consulting skills

• Experience in designing and embedding KPI’s for Talent Sourcing activities, to embed change and drive continuous improvement

• Knowledge of recruitment processes and specifically talent attraction and sourcing tools & strategies 

• Knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion best practice in a talent sourcing context 

• Experience of managing suppliers in talent acquisition marketing and attraction.

• Experience of developing LinkedIn and other attraction channels to build EVP and attract talent and build direct sourcing capability.

Desirable

• Experience of developing talent attraction strategy in an international organisation.

Contract Type – Indefinite Contract

Location – United Kingdom, Poland, Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Romania, Greece, or Bulgaria. 

Requirements – Candidates must have the legal right to work for at least one of the above countries.
