Role Purpose
The purpose of the role is to support the Exams Operations Post Test Officer to manage and oversee the post-test phase of the examination process, ensuring that results are processed accurately, communicated effectively, and contribute to the overall improvement of assessment practices within an educational or examination setting.

 

Main Accountabilities:

 

Service Delivery
•  Prioritises tasks to meet deadlines and supports the Exams Operations Post Test Officer to hand over to country operations team.
•  Receives instructions and requests from Exams Operations Post test Officer and organises resources accordingly (often at short notice) to ensure that work is conducted efficiently and effectively.
•  Develops good working relationships with appropriate colleagues throughout the British Council to facilitate effective and efficient post-test delivery of IELTS.
•  Ensure the accuracy and integrity of examination results by carefully processing and verifying test scores or responses.
•  Contribute to the development and implementation of streamlined processes to enhance the efficiency of post-test activities.

 

Customers, Relationship and Stakeholders
•  Takes end-to-end accountability for researching and obtaining satisfactory and timely resolution of complex / escalated customer (internal or external) operational complaints and issues, coordinating input from other colleagues / departments / managers as required, to do so.
•  Provides routine direction, information, and advisement to students and prospective students in regards to testing policies, procedures, and outcomes.
•  Develops and maintains good working relationships within the British Council to enable and facilitate effective and efficient service delivery.
•  Develops strong relationships with British Council owned and managed venues and provides feedback for improvements as per audit standards.

 

Risk and Compliance
•  Uses standardised processes to monitor team / unit compliance with agreed corporate risk management procedures relevant to service delivery (e.g. child protection, security policies, financial protocols, anti-fraud measures) to always protect the interests of the BC and its customers.
•  Supervises venue staff which typically includes recommendations for hiring, firing, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution.
•  Ensures that all post-test processes are conducted in compliance with relevant university and higher education policies, regulations, guidelines, and standards.
•  Conduct health and safety inspections of British Council exam venues to meet with corporate and awarding body guidelines.

 

About You (essential requirements for the role):
•  Experience working in short deadline-oriented operations / administration.
•  Experience working within examinations environment.
•  Must have knowledge / experience in child protection policies and practices.

 

Desirable Requirements:
•  Experience with IELTS results delivery
•  Knowledge of British Council Quality and Compliance policy

 

Language Requirements:
•  English Level B2 Written and Spoken
